CTOnews.com, Oct. 4 (Xinhua)-- Puny Human, the developer of games such as "Dystopia" and "Blade Symphony", has announced that it will close down and lay off all remaining full-time employees, liquidate assets and sell some IP by the end of the year. ▲ Puny Human studio Logo is reported to have closed down because of a contract dispute. According to foreign media gamesindustry.biz, CEO and studio manager Mike Sanders of Puny Human said: "A customer refuses to pay the amount previously agreed, making it impossible for us to maintain the capital flow needed for the project under development, resulting in a vicious circle of operating income."

"it's sad to lose the team and even the whole company, and I take full responsibility for not being prepared enough to deal with this result," said gamesindustry.bizMike Sanders, a foreign news agency based on ▲.

CTOnews.com learned that since 2016, Puny Human has operated as an outsourced studio and has been involved in the development of the Callisto Agreement, Trover Save the Universe (a spin-off of the famous American TV series Rick and Morty), Ice City 4 and the Midgard Tribe.

In 2018, Puny Human began working on Zero Day, the spiritual successor to Dystopia, and plans to receive funding from an undisclosed venture capital partner in the second quarter of 2023. It is unclear how the closure is related to this "venture capital partner", and Puny Human has not disclosed the identity of its customers who are "unwilling to pay."
