Sources say Activision has been proposed to set up a "call of Duty" game theme park.

CTOnews.com, October 5 (Xinhua)-- call of Duty is one of the largest series in the game industry, and now the series is about to usher in its 20th edition. In a recent interview with foreign media GameSpot, Activision President Rob Kostich revealed that the company had also received suggestions on the establishment of a "call of Duty" theme park.

"We have studied a lot of examples of expanding IP, and it has been suggested that we can build a call of Duty theme park," Rob Kostich said. "but what I want to say is that Activision's goal is to let as many people in the world enjoy call of Duty itself, and participation in the game is the most important factor in our success."

GameSpotRob Kostich, a foreign ▲ source, claims that Activision is actively expanding call of Duty IP, but it will not consider building a call of Duty theme park for the time being. Activision has previously planned the "call of Duty" movie universe, and now has more than 3000 developers in 10 studios.

CTOnews.com found that although Activision's president is not very interested in call of Duty theme parks, companies such as Nintendo and Square Enix are more supportive of the idea of using "IP" to build theme parks. Square Enix has earlier claimed to build its IP into a "long-term and stable source of revenue," while Nintendo has previously said it will promote its game IP across borders.
