CTOnews.com, Oct. 6, one of the highlights of Apple's Vision Pro is the Spatial Personas feature, which displays the wearer's movements and body language on a transparent background to achieve a more realistic and immersive experience.

Apple can capture the wearer's face and upper body through 3D scanning, but the scanning technology is not perfect enough to take into account accessories such as glasses.

Developer @ M1Astra delved into the visionOS code and found that Apple asked the wearer to remove anything that covered the face, including glasses.

CTOnews.com note: Apple's existing scanning mechanism does not scan glasses correctly, but Apple provides users with some default glasses options, which means users can select virtual objects close to their glasses. The codes found so far are all plain and uncolored, and it is not clear whether Apple will offer different colors for users to choose from.

Apple's Vision Pro can scan users' faces and use advanced machine learning to create realistic "characters" for video calls. According to Apple, the team is currently actively optimizing the features, and in future visionOS updates, Persona will become more realistic.
