Microsoft officially launches C# development kit for VS Code
CTOnews.com October 6, Microsoft released the C# development kit for Visual Studio Code in June this year in the form of a preview. After four months of testing and polishing, Microsoft officially released the development kit today.
Microsoft said it fixed more than 350 problems during the four-month preview, most of which were reported by the community and made more than 300 targeted improvements to the product.
Microsoft said that the feedback from users has accelerated the official release of the C# development kit, and Visual Studio subscribers can get full support for C#. The team will continue to improve performance and reliability and will add new features every month.
Microsoft Tim Heuer said: "C # Dev Kit improves the efficiency of developers in developing C # language products when using VS Code. The suite is compatible with C # extensions and is supported by a fully open source language server protocol (LSP) host, creating a high-performance, scalable and flexible tool environment that can easily integrate new experiences into C # for VS Code."
C # Dev Kit consists of three parts. CTOnews.com attached the relevant description as follows:
C # extension: provides basic language service support and subsequent maintenance independent of the project
C # Dev Kit extension: created based on Visual Studio, providing solution management, templates, testing, debugging
IntelliCode for C # Dev Kit extension (optional): introduce the AI-related development experience into the editor.
