The mysterious new car on the right is more similar to the Kia family's pure electric SUV, with sharp, hard edges and corners, but the body posture and vehicle length and height are significantly smaller than the EV5 and EV9, and it looks like a compact car in size.

The new cars will be unveiled along with three other known models at a special EV Day event on October 12, when Kia will showcase new models, concepts and technology, officials said.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Kia sold 261322 vehicles in the global market in September, up 4.8% from a year earlier, including 44123 in South Korea, 216568 overseas and 631 special vehicles (subject to wholesale sales).

Compared with the same period last year, Kia's South Korean and overseas sales increased by 11.0% and 3.6% respectively, and total sales increased by 4.8%.
