CTOnews.com previously reported that the 990 PRO 4TB uses Samsung's 8th generation V-NAND technology and an improved Samsung in-house controller to bring its performance close to the theoretical upper limit of PCIe 4.0, with sequential read speeds of up to 7450 MB / S and write speeds of up to 6900 MB/s.
