The installation rate of Apple's iOS 17 system is low, about 23% after 18 days of release.

Mixpanel reports that iOS 17 installation rates are below normal, with iOS 17 installed at about 23% 18 days after release as of October 6. 12.13% of users are using iOS 17.0.2, 6.84% are using iOS 17.0.3, 1.76% are using iOS 17.0.1, and 2% are sticking with iOS 17. For comparison, the last two iOS 16 versions (iOS 16.6.1 and iOS 16.7) are used by about 45 percent of users.

CTOnews.com has noticed that the trend of installing iOS updates is getting slower. Last year, 18 days after launch, iOS 16 had an installation rate of 29 percent, while 70 percent of eligible iPhone users took four months to install iOS 16. Back in 2018, about two and a half months after the update was released, 70% of eligible iPhones were installed with iOS 12.
