A team of researchers from Northwestern University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Vermont tried to find the answer to this question. Humans have evolved over billions of years to walk upright on land, while AI takes only 26 seconds. AI also iterated over several versions on its own, and in the 10th version, through self-correction, completed the evolution of "legs" on its own.

We have found a very fast artificial intelligence-driven design algorithm that can bypass evolutionary "congestion" without including the biases of human designers.

We told artificial intelligence that we wanted a robot that could cross land. Then all we have to do is press a button and in the blink of an eye, it creates a blueprint for a robot that looks different from any animal that has ever walked on earth.

We call this process "instant evolution".
