CTOnews.com October 11 news, CTOnews.com learned from Xinhua Agency official micro, China's first hydrogen fuel cell power demonstration ship "Three Gorges Hydrogen Boat 1" on the morning of October 11 in Hubei Yichang Three Gorges Visitor Center (nine docks) completed its maiden voyage, which marks hydrogen fuel cell technology in inland river ship application to achieve zero breakthrough.

The source "Yangtze River Shipping" Public "Three Gorges Hydrogen Boat 1" is a steel-aluminum composite structure, with a total length of 49.9 meters, a width of 10.4 meters and a depth of 3.2 meters. The rated output power of hydrogen fuel cell is 500 kilowatts, the maximum speed is 28km/h, and the cruising range can reach 200km at a cruising speed of 20km/h. It is estimated that compared with traditional fuel-powered ships,"Three Gorges Hydrogen Boat 1" is expected to replace 103.16 tons of fuel oil every year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 343.67 tons.

"Three Gorges Hydrogen Boat 1" is jointly developed and constructed by Changjiang Electric Power, China Shipbuilding 712 Research Institute, Yangtze River Three Gorges Navigation Administration Bureau, China Classification Society, Wuhan Yangtze River Ship Design Institute, Jianglong Boat and other units affiliated to Three Gorges Group. It is the first hydrogen fuel cell power ship of China Classification Society in China. After delivery, the ship will be used by Yangtze River Three Gorges Navigation Administration Bureau for traffic, inspection and emergency of Three Gorges Reservoir Area and between two dams.
