CTOnews.com October 11 news, United Bo Holdings (Bernstein) yesterday released an investment insight report, that Google to ensure that Google Search is the default search engine for products such as iPhone, pay Apple $18-20 billion a year (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1312.2-145.8 billion yuan) fee.

"We believe it is possible for a federal court to rule against Google and force it to terminate its search agreement with Apple," Bernstein said in the report. "according to our estimates, Google pays Apple $180-20 billion worth of ISA each year, accounting for 14-16 per cent of Apple's annual operating profit."

Bernstein said Apple's services business never disclosed the information, and Google did not disclose the data, but the agency believes that Google invests 22% of its advertising revenue in traffic acquisition cost (TAC,Traffic Acquisition Costs), of which Apple accounts for about 40%.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Google pays Apple billions of dollars a year to set Google as the default search engine on Apple devices. Most of the trials were conducted behind closed doors, and officials did not disclose how much Google paid Apple.

Cue testified that the last deal between Apple and Google dates back to 2016, and when asked why Apple chose Google as its default search engine, Cue said "there was no effective replacement for Google at that time."

"We made Google the default search engine because we always thought it was the best, we chose the best one and allowed users to easily change it," Cue said.
