CTOnews.com, October 12 (Xinhua) BMW launched the BMW CE 02 electric motorcycle this summer. As a low-cost version of CE 04, the price of the motorcycle has also dropped from about $12000 to $7599 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 55473 yuan).

According to RideApart, BMW is now working with Indian carmaker TVS Motor Company to produce the CE 02, but the motorcycle is currently only available in Europe and North America.

The electric motorcycle is smaller and consumes less power than the CE 04, and BMW believes it is suitable for younger, more urban users.

The motorcycle is heavy on the 132kg and has a top speed of 95 kilometers per hour, which means it can meet almost any urban or suburban road, but it is almost fun for highways.

Similar to Kawasaki's recently released urban electric motorcycle, the BMW CE 02 uses a pair of small removable batteries with a total capacity of 3.92 kWh and a motor with a peak power of 11 kW (about 15 horsepower, 55 Nm) with a maximum mileage of about 90 km.

It takes about five hours for the car to be fully charged with a standard 0.9 kW charger and 3.5 hours for a 1.5 kW charger. BMW said that 20% to 80% of the charging time is 2.8 hours and 2.3 hours respectively.

It is reported that the CE 02 uses 14-inch wheels, the front and rear tires are 120x80 and 150x70 respectively, equipped with unilateral rear rocker arm, inverted front fork, disc casting wheel, adjustable hand brake lever, a variety of cycling modes, LED lights and USB-C interface, easy to travel.

In other ways, the car is equipped with a keyless ignition system, a 3.5inch full-color TFT display, a standard ABS and a reverse gear.
