Tesla Asia's first V4 supercharging station landed in Hong Kong, China

CTOnews.com, October 12, with the popularity of electric vehicles, up to August this year, 6415 of the more than 18000 electric vehicles newly registered in Hong Kong are Tesla, which can be said to be one of the most popular electric vehicle brands in Hong Kong.

Tesla has now confirmed that the first V4 supercharging station in Asia has officially landed in Hong Kong. The overcharging station is located in Lee Garden Phase I in Causeway Bay and has now been officially opened.

At present, all three V4 super charging piles are located in Lee Garden Phase I, while there are 12 V3 super charging piles in Lee Garden Phase III and Hysan Plaza respectively, making it the largest charging centre on Hong Kong Island.

Fan Jingyi, regional director of Tesla, said that the newly launched V4 supercharging station is equipped with longer charging lines for the convenience of other brand owners, and the current charging power is the highest 250kW per car.

The system will improve the charging efficiency of OTA in the future (it was previously reported that it can reach 350kW), and the charge will be the same as the current V3 system, about HK $3.05 to 4.05 per kilowatt-hour (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 2.8487-3.7827 RMB).

According to reports, Tesla has set up 65 V3 super charging piles and 124 destination charging stations in Hong Kong, covering all 18 districts in Hong Kong.

Tesla partner Xi Shen said that after the upgrade, the number of Tesla charging stations in the zone will be increased to 165, including 15 super charging stations and 150 free destination charging stations. It is said that the use of the fastest supercharging station in the area can add up to 275 km of mileage in 15 minutes.
