In an interview with the media, CDPR said that in the recently released DLC Shadow of the past, he recreated the voice of Mi Mi ogost Reczek, who plays V's friend Victor Victor, the Ripper.

CDPR explained that after Reczek died in 2021, they received explicit permission from Reczek's family. Localization director Mikolaj Szwed described Reczek's son as "very supportive". He added that the developer initially chose to hire a new actor to intervene, but eventually found that AI was better than changing the dubbing actor, so they chose AI.

CTOnews.com noticed that Szwed said another dubbing actor had made new lines for Viktor, and then CDPR used Ukrainian voice cloning software called Respeecher to make the conversation sound like Reczek. This approach, he said, means that "we can keep his performance in the game and pay tribute to his wonderful performance as Victor."
