TrendForce said that affected by the decline in demand, Samsung's 8-inch fab has shown signs of declining capacity utilization since the second half of this year.

Foreign media reported that Samsung Electronics currently operates an 8-inch fab in Qixing, Gyeonggi Province, with a monthly production capacity of 200000 wafers, mainly producing drive integrated circuits, image sensors, smartphone power management chips, and so on.

In the report, foreign media also mentioned that the production of Samsung Electronics 8-inch fab has decreased sharply recently as a result of customers' reduced orders.
