The best-selling game of all time has achieved a new achievement: "my World" has sold more than 300 million copies.

CTOnews.com, October 16 (Xinhua)-- "my World" has become the best-selling video game in history. Today, Microsoft Mojang Studio leader Helen Chiang announced another shocking achievement on Minecraft Live 2023. "my World" has sold 300 million copies.

"as we approach our 15th anniversary, my World remains one of the best-selling games of all time, with more than 300 million copies sold, a milestone we could not have imagined when we first placed the box," Helen Chiang said in a statement.

CTOnews.com noted that there is also an interesting voting session on Minecraft Live 2023 that allows players to vote on which new creatures should join the game, and this year they can choose crabs, armadillos and penguins.

300 million copies of "my World" is a figure to be reckoned with, surpassing the sales of almost all other entertainment media. For comparison, Thriller, the best-selling album in history, sold about 70 million copies, PS2, the best-selling game console, sold about 155 million units, and even the second best-selling video game, Grand Theft Auto V, lagged far behind my World, with 185m copies. My World is a unique game that may hold this record for a long time.
