AI tool Claude 2 is officially launched worldwide: support for uploading files and longer response text

CTOnews.com, October 18, Anthropic released a new Claude 2 language model in July this year. Compared with the previous version, Claude 2 has improved performance, supports uploading files, and can respond to longer text, with significant improvements in programming, mathematics, reasoning, and so on.

Previously, Anthropic only launched Claude 2 to users in the United States and the United Kingdom, and the AI tool has been officially launched around the world (95 countries and regions).

Programming, math and reasoning are better than their predecessors: it has a correct rate of 76.5 per cent in the multiple-choice section of the US bar exam, compared with 70 per cent in the previous Claude 1.3; Claude 2 scored more than 90 per cent in the GRE reading and writing test; and Claude 2 scored more than 60 per cent in all three subjects, meaning a "ALL PASS" in the US physician license exam.

Input and output lengths have increased significantly: users can now enter up to 100000 token in each prompt, meaning they can read hundreds of pages of file content at a time. At the same time, Claude 2 can do all kinds of text work on thousands of token, such as writing memos, letters and even stories.

It is worth noting that Claude supports Chinese, while Claude 2 also opens up the model to enterprises through API.
