OpenAI is developing "AI hardware" with Jony Ive, but it will not be mobile phones and humanoid robots
CTOnews.com, Oct. 19, CTOnews.com reported in September this year that OpenAI CEO Sam Altman (Sam Altman) is working with Jony Ive to discuss a new "AI hardware" project.
After the news came out, the outside world was full of curiosity about the AI hardware, and given Johnny Ive's previous design experience, it was speculated that it would be an AI phone that would be a standard for Apple's iPhone.

When Mr Stern asked whether the AI hardware could be a smartphone, Mr Altman denied the idea, saying: "I think we are involved in some great things, but at this stage I don't know what the future will look like, but we are not interested in competing with smartphones."
Altman also denied the idea of coming in the form of a humanoid robot, saying there are many potential ideas, but all of them are at an early stage of discussion.
