Samsung launches 25W PD gallium nitride charger, priced at 33000 won

CTOnews.com October 19 news, Samsung recently issued a press release to launch a brand new 25W PD charging head in the South Korean market, which is available in black and white, excluding 25300 won for data cable (CTOnews.com Note: about RMB 137 currently) and 33000 won (currently about RMB 179 yuan) with USB-C cable.

This is a 25W PD gallium nitride (GaN) charger that features a slimmer size than the existing charger. The company continued its efforts to reduce e-waste and revealed that part of the main body of the charger is made of recycled plastic materials.

When not charging, standby power consumption can be reduced from 20mW to 5mW, minimizing power waste and saving energy. In addition, it securely protects compatible devices from overcurrent and high temperatures, and supports the USB 3.0 PD standard.

CTOnews.com inquires Samsung China's official website, currently only offers 25W travel charging head, including cable price is 169yuan, excluding data line mobile phone price is 119yuan.
