In the third quarter, iFLYTEK made a net profit of 25.79 million yuan, down 81.86 percent from the same period last year, while net profit in the first three quarters was 99.36 million yuan, down 76.36 percent from the same period last year.

IFLYTEK said that in the third quarter, the company maintained healthy business development: operating revenue and gross profit maintained positive growth, achieving operating income of 4.772 billion yuan, an increase of 2.89% over the same period last year, and gross profit of 1.937 billion yuan, up 3.62% from the same period last year.

At the same time, iFLYTEK said the company still maintained a positive operating cash flow, with a net operating cash flow of 357 million yuan in the third quarter.

CTOnews.com noted that iFLYTEK's third-quarter return net profit decreased by 116 million yuan compared with the same period last year, while non-return net profit decreased by 168 million yuan compared with the same period last year.

In response, iFLYTEK explained that "the company is actively seizing the new historical opportunities of general artificial intelligence and is firmly committed to the cognitive model of general artificial intelligence."

IFLYTEK pointed out that although the above investments affected current profits to some extent, the company's new capabilities in self-controllable core technologies and the latest progress made in moving towards a cognitive model of general artificial intelligence have laid a solid foundation and a rare first-mover advantage for the company's long-term sustainable development in the digital economy era.
