CTOnews.com, October 20-Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard for $69 billion (about 505.77 billion yuan). Analyst Konvoy released a report today, saying that Microsoft's move will trigger more mergers and acquisitions in the global game market and create a "new generation of game companies."

Currently, the world's publicly listed gaming companies have only $45 billion in cash and cash equivalents, while the world's largest technology companies, such as Apple and Google, have a total of $229.4 billion (about 1.68 trillion yuan), Konvoy said in a report.

▲ Picture Source Konvoy's current move by Microsoft to buy Activision Blizzard is likely to cause other technology companies to follow suit, leading to a larger "integration action" in the video game market.

"as active game investors, we believe gamers and game startups will benefit from the Microsoft deal because it increases the value proposition of gamers and creates a dynamic M & An environment for the completion of other deals," said Josh Chapman, a partner at Konvoy.

Josh Chapman also claimed that the global game industry will achieve long-term growth in the next few years, and the game industry is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 9% in the next five years, and total sales of the game industry will reach $288 billion (currently about 2.11 trillion yuan) by 2028.
