CTOnews.com noted that in March this year, Hangzhou Sijiqing Market, the largest wholesale clothing market in Hangzhou, the live broadcast city of e-commerce, issued an announcement banning live broadcasting by merchants in some markets.

Data show that the online retail sales in Hangzhou exceeded one trillion yuan in 2022, accounting for 38.8% of the online retail sales in Zhejiang Province that year. There are 32 integrated and vertical head live broadcast platforms, nearly 50,000 anchors, and more than 5000 live broadcast-related enterprises. The number ranks first in the country, leading to employment of more than 1 million people.
