NASA's perseverance successfully collected the 23rd Martian rock sample.

CTOnews.com, October 26 (Xinhua)-- the official X (Twitter) account of NASA's perseverance has released a dynamic update, saying that the 23rd rock sample has been successfully collected on Mars, which has become the key for astronomers to explore the ancient Martian environment.

The tweet reads: "my drill is full of my latest samples! my wear patch shows an interesting texture in this bedrock. The minerals in it are important clues to the ancient environment I am currently exploring."

CTOnews.com note: perseverance is currently on a sampling mission in the Jazelo crater on Mars, an area carefully selected by NASA to speculate that there were once flowing rivers and deltas.
