CTOnews.com, October 27 (Xinhua)-- South Korean source yeux1122 posted a blog post on the Naver blog that Apple is developing 12-inch and 13-inch MacBook products for an estimated price of less than $700 (currently about 5124 yuan).

Sources say Apple has not yet decided whether to mass-produce low-cost Mac products on a large scale, but it is highly likely to launch these products in order to boost sales due to the sharp decline in sales of iPad and MacBook products.

Guo Mingyi revealed earlier this week that if the M3 series of chips fails to boost sales, Apple will redesign the MacBook Pro look in 2025 and may expand the product line to introduce a "youth version" of MacBook, which aims to ship more than 800-10 million units a year.

DigiTimes reported last month that Apple may launch a more affordable MacBook line by the end of 2024 to distinguish it from the company's existing MacBook Air and Pro models and help the company compete with Google's popular Chromebook model.
