CTOnews.com previously quoted The Information as reporting that Google had blocked Apple from developing search-related features through an agreement, according to disclosed court documents, while The New York Times brought more details.

The New York Times reviewed some internal Google documents and said that although Google and Apple had been working together for many years, Apple's search tool Spotlight began to show users richer web results in 2021, and the content presented was basically the same as Google's search results.
