Ubisoft's net bookings for the first half of the year increased by 17.6% over the same period last year, with Rainbow 6: siege being the best.

CTOnews.com October 27 news, Ubisoft announced the first half of the 2023-2024 fiscal year results (March-September), operating income of 16.1 million euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about RMB 124 million), compared with EUR 215 million in the first half of last year; cumulative revenue reached EUR 836 million, up 14% year-on-year; net bookings reached EUR 822.4 million in the first half of last year, up 17.6% from the previous year.

Net bookings for the second quarter were € 554.8 million (currently about RMB 4.283 billion), up 36.6%, well above the target of about € 350 million.

Ubisoft's revenue growth was partly due to pre-shipments of the racing simulation game Cool Car God: Roar Festival launched in September and Assassin's Creed Phantom launched in early October. Rainbow Six: Siege performed best, with significant net bookings growth.

Ubisoft said its cost-cutting plans are on track, with 19410 employees worldwide as of September 2023, compared with 20729 worldwide last year.

As for what's next, Ubisoft's games for release this fiscal year include Assassin's Creed Nexus VR, Avatar: Pandora's Frontier, Dance All Out 2024 and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Ubisoft added that the sailing game Skull is expected to launch between January and March 2024.
