CTOnews.com reported on October 29 that recently, there has been a serious problem with the Android 14 system. This problem causes devices in multi-user mode to fail to use storage space properly, even when applications disappear, frequently crash, or storage is completely locked.

On October 27, a Google representative acknowledged the problem and said the team was "working hard to fix it." He replied on Google Forum: "Thank you for your patience. Our team is investigating storage problems affecting some Pixel devices running Android 14 and are working to fix them. We will update more details in this post as soon as possible."

CTOnews.com noted that at first the problem was mainly on Pixel 6 phones. But as Ars Technica reported this week, Google's problem tracker for the issue has received more than 420 responses, involving a number of different devices. Problems reported by users include the disappearance of applications, constant crashes, or lack of access to internal storage space on a user account on the device.

Some users posted log files or uploaded pictures of the phone screen, but several users said they could not provide screenshots because the phone showed that there was no storage space available to save them.

At present, Google has not announced the specific cause of the problem and the solution. Affected users will have to wait for Google to launch a patch as soon as possible to fix the glitch.
