According to reports, the "XLV model rocket", a new rocket of the eighth Academy of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, will make its maiden flight at the No. 2 launch station, which will be equipped with equipment to be installed in March next year, and will have the rocket training and launch capability in June. The No. 2 launch station can provide launch services for 19 types of rockets.

CTOnews.com inquiry found that Hainan Commercial Development officials had previously revealed that the long March 8 carrier rocket plans to make its first flight at Workstation 1 in June 2024! This is also the first flight mission of the Hainan commercial space launch site.
