Tesla Model Y is the best-selling model in Europe in September, with sales exceeding 170000 in the first nine months.

According to news on October 29, Model Y, a cross-border sports multi-purpose electric vehicle launched by Tesla in March 2019 and delivered the following year, soon replaced Model 3 in some markets to become the highest-selling electric vehicle under Tesla.

With the increase in production, this electric car has even replaced the classic fuel model as the best-selling car in some markets, and it is the best-selling car in Europe and the global market in the first quarter of this year.

According to the latest data quoted by foreign media, Tesla Model Y's sales in the European market declined in September, but it is still the best-selling model in this market.

Registered sales of Model Y in Europe fell 8 per cent to 26370 in September, according to the agency.

The Model Y still outsold other models in Europe last month, according to the agency, meaning Tesla's electric car has been the best-selling model in Europe for six of the past nine months.

Sales topped the list in six of the nine months, which means Tesla Model Y sold well in the European market in the first nine months of this year. From January to August this year, Model Y sold 151191 vehicles in Europe, including 26370 in September and 177561 in the first nine months, according to the agency.

After the commissioning of the Berlin and Texas superfactories, the Model Y is Tesla's car with the largest number of production plants, with production in all four-seater factories.
