Kawasaki recalls 635 imported ZX400S / P motorcycles in China. Alternator rotor may be loose.

CTOnews.com, October 30, CTOnews.com learned from the official website of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration that a few days ago, Kawasaki Motor (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products.

A total of 635 imported ZX400S / P motorcycles manufactured from May 12, 2023 to June 13, 2023 will be recalled from now on.

In the scope of this recall, due to manufacturing reasons, the alternator rotor may be loose, resulting in the generator can not generate electricity, resulting in engine flameout in the process of vehicle driving, there is a safety risk.

Kawasaki Motorcycle (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will inspect the alternator rotor for vehicles within the recall area free of charge, and reinstall and fix it if the rotor is loose, in order to eliminate safety risks.
