CTOnews.com previously reported that on October 25 local time, the European Commission announced that three Chinese car companies, BYD, SAIC and Geely, had been selected to launch a countervailing investigation.

The European Union had previously announced a countervailing investigation into electric vehicles made in China, but because of the large number of companies involved, the European Commission chose a sampling method to determine the final target of the investigation.

In response, Geely Holdings Group said "active cooperation", BYD executive vice president Li Ke responded earlier that "continue to promote the company to achieve strong growth in Europe."
