NetEase CC: comprehensively control vulgar live broadcast content and crack down on cleaning up harmful information

According to CTOnews.com news on October 30, today, the State Cyber Information Office instructed the Guangdong Provincial Cyber Communications Office to order "NetEase CC" to suspend the update of information on the "Dance" section for seven days, while ordering the platform to immediately comprehensively and thoroughly rectify and seriously deal with those responsible.

CTOnews.com noted that NetEase CC now issued an announcement saying that it will comprehensively carry out the centralized clean-up of vulgar and harmful information on the platform, continue to strengthen the comprehensive rectification of vulgar content in live rooms, crack down on the clean-up of vulgar and harmful information, strengthen the security management of information content, and work with the majority of anchors and users to build a clear live broadcast environment.

The Internet Information Office said that many anchors of the "NetEase CC" live broadcast platform had problems such as vulgar words and deeds and playing porn on the sidelines during the live broadcast.

The Network Information Office pointed out that the "NetEase CC" live broadcast platform did not effectively rectify the above vulgar live broadcast, and presented it in the "Dance" section of the first screen "Entertainment" channel, reflecting its serious lack of responsibility for the security management of network information content, violating the Network Security Law, the "Network Information content Ecological Governance regulations" and other relevant provisions, destroying the network ecology, bad nature, and serious circumstances.
