CTOnews.com, October 31 (Xinhua)-- Alphabet CEO Sandal Sundar Pichai testified in the largest antitrust case in the United States in 25 years, saying that the reason for paying Apple and other technology companies to ensure that Google becomes the default search engine on their devices is to provide users with a "seamless, easy-to-use" search experience, according to the Associated Press.

"We try our best to provide users with the best search experience anytime, anywhere, and this is the direction we have been promoting and developing," Tuyuan Pexels Pichai said in court.

Pichai said that Google's payment to mobile phone manufacturers and wireless phone companies is not just to ensure that users turn on their smartphones or computers and find that Google is the first search engine. Instead, they urge these partners to make security upgrades and other improvements to their devices.

Google will benefit, too, by generating revenue every time a user clicks on an ad that pops up in a search, which Google shares with Apple and other partners.

CTOnews.com also reported today that Google CEO Sandal Pichai (Sundar Pichai) proposed to Apple CEO Tim Cook that the Google search app be pre-installed on Apple's iPhone in 2018, but Cook didn't accept the idea.
