Microsoft News AI recommended another controversy, and the case report was improperly investigated.
CTOnews.com, Nov. 1 (Xinhua)-- the AI of Microsoft's news aggregation service has once again sparked controversy when it reported the death of 21-year-old water polo coach Lilie James, according to the Guardian.
The survey created by Microsoft AI is entitled: "what do you think is the cause of death of this woman?" And provides three options: murder, accident or suicide.
Readers expressed a strong reaction to the survey, and Microsoft subsequently deleted the survey. As of Tuesday morning, readers' comments on the survey remained online.
"this is destined to be the saddest and most disgusting poll I have ever seen in my life," one user wrote.
CTOnews.com attached a Microsoft spokesman's response as follows: "We have retired all questionnaire survey systems and have begun to investigate the causes of inappropriate content this time. Articles of this nature should not be investigated, and we are taking measures to help prevent such errors from happening again in the future."
