Huang Renxun, who had tattooed to celebrate Nvidia's share price exceeding $100, said he would not do it again.
CTOnews.com November 1, Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun celebrated the milestone when the company's share price reached $100 a share, saying he had a company logo tattooed on his arm. However, he doesn't seem to be planning to get another tattoo now.
In an interview with HP online show "The Moment", host Ryan Patel asked Huang Renxun if he would consider getting another tattoo. Huang Renxun replied, "grow old gracefully and there will be no more tattoos." He added that tattoos are far more painful than people say.
Huang Renxun has complained about his tattoos before. In an interview with Fortune magazine in November 2017, he said he had wanted to expand the tattoo, but recalled "crying like a baby" during the tattoo. "my children were there," he said. "they told me to control myself."
It is not clear when Huang Renxun tattooed the logo on his left arm. Nvidia has split its shares five times since it went public in 1999. Nvidia's share price has nearly doubled this year because of the craze for generative artificial intelligence.
The soaring share price has also increased Huang Renxun's wealth by 166% this year, with an estimated net worth of $36.7 billion as of October 31, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 269.011 billion yuan).
In addition, Huang Renxun is also famous for often wearing black leather jackets. When asked what he thought of becoming a fashion icon because of wearing a leather jacket, Huang Renxun modestly replied: "Don't say that. I'm glad my wife and daughter help me dress up."
Nvidia shares closed up 1.6% at $411.61 a share on Monday. The stock has risen more than 180% so far this year.
