Google launches new top-level domain .ing to make website names more interesting
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Xiao Zhan for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, Nov. 1 (Xinhua)-- Google Registry (Google Registry) recently launched a new top-level domain: .ing. Verbs with .ing will make the website domain name more interesting.
CTOnews.com noted that at present, users can register .ing domain names first, but they have to pay a "one-time extra fee", which will be reduced every day until December 5, when the .ing domain name will be officially open to the public at 12:00 EDT.
Foreign media have entered different words into GoDaddy's domain name search to see which .ing domain names are available for registration. Some common words ending in-ing are so expensive that think.ing and buy.ing cost $38999.99 and $129999.99 a year to register, respectively.
According to a blog post published in August, Google's registry is also developing a .meme top-level domain. Meme is currently in a limited registration period, early visits will be open on November 28, and registration will be open to all on December 5.
