According to CTOnews.com, the Tianxiang Avenue Tunnel is a control project of the entire Changjiu high-speed railway, with a total length of 6.379 kilometers, a single-hole and two-lane tunnel, in which the shield section is 4.4km long and is driven by a mud-water balance shield machine with a diameter of 14.8m. It is also the first large-diameter shield tunnel in Jiangxi Province. The internal structure of the tunnel adopts integral prefabricated box culvert, which is implemented for the first time in a 350 km / h high-speed railway tunnel in China.

Changjiu high-speed railway is an important part of the main channel of Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed railway, with a total length of 137.7 kilometers and a design speed of 350km per hour. It is expected to open in March 2027. At that time, the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed rail corridor will all be completed, and the full high-speed rail travel from Beijing to Shenzhen (Hong Kong) will be realized. The completion and opening of the Changjiu high-speed railway will help to build an integrated transportation system, strengthen the docking and integration with Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, promote the implementation of the development strategy of the Yangtze River economic belt, and promote high-quality economic and social development along the line.
