Honda shows off its first electric bike, which combines the fun of motorcycles and mountain bikes

CTOnews.com Nov. 5 Honda unveiled its first electric bike, the Honda e-MTB concept car, at Mobile Japan. The bike is similar to what other major automakers have done, using electric technology to expand their brands.

CTOnews.com notes that the Honda e-MTB concept looks like a downhill electric bike, and unlike some concept electric bikes, Honda's bike looks like it can be put into production.

According to reports, this electric bicycle uses the existing Brose mid-drive motor, and by using existing electric bicycle parts, Honda can pay more attention to the overall appearance and structural design of the bicycle, while handing over the production of bicycle parts to companies that have decades of experience.

This fully suspension electric bike uses SRAM Eagle AXS shifting, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, Fox front and rear shock absorbers, RockShox Reverb lift seat bars, DT Swiss XM 1700 wheels, and Maxxis Minion DHF tires.
