Progress has been made in the field of ultra-fast framing imaging at Xi'an Optical Machinery, and a laser implosion image with a time resolution better than 10 ps has been obtained for the first time in China.
CTOnews.com news on November 7, the framing imaging team of the key Laboratory of Ultra-fast Diagnostic Technology, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Machinery, Chinese Academy of Sciences, recently made an important breakthrough in the field of picosecond framing imaging.
According to reports, the time magnified framing camera, which is headed by Xi'an Institute of Optical Machinery, completed the laser shooting experiment on the Shenguang-III prototype device of the Laser Fusion Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics, and obtained a laser implosion image with a time resolution better than 10 ps for the first time in China, laying a foundation for fine measurement of the laser fusion process.
Officials say the team continued to focus on ultra-fast framing imaging technology and developed a time-amplified framing camera after a decade of conquering a number of key technologies such as wide-beam electron optical modulation, electronic pulse time amplification and wide-spectrum electronic focus. In this study, the time resolution limit of the framing camera is improved from 60ps to 5ps, and the spatial resolution is better than 20 lp / mm.
CTOnews.com Note: this is the highest time resolution framing camera that has been applied in engineering in China. It is of great significance to promote the development of framing imaging technology and ultra-fast diagnosis technology.
