CTOnews.com, Nov. 7 (Xinhua)-- Sony's latest and most powerful flagship phone, the Xperia 1V, has also received an update to the Android 14 system, just after Samsung, but as usual, users may have to wait a few days or even weeks to receive the update because it is being pushed in batches.

Currently, the deployment of the Android 14 system for Xperia 1V phones has begun in some parts of Europe, with the update package being 1.3GB, with major changes in interface adjustments, system enhancements and some additional features, as well as the latest October 2023 security patch.

The update is generally "clean" and basically replicates the changes and improvements Google has added to its Pixel devices, but Sony has also added its own personalized features, such as the recently launched enhanced virtual mode and video creation app on the Xperia 5V.

CTOnews.com noted that the Xperia 1V, which went on sale in June this year, is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and an advanced 4K HDR OLED display. The phone, which claims to be Sony's first film-sensitive phone, is also expensive, starting at 8999 yuan.
