Goolman said Apple issued a notice last week asking employees to suspend the development of the next-generation version of the system and focus on fixing the system BUG and improving performance.

The project is currently led by Apple software director Craig Craig Federighi, and it is reported that while advancing the next-generation system update, the software engineering management team led by Federighi found a large number of BUG in internal testing and decided to suspend development for a week to focus on these BUG.

During the week, all engineers stopped developing new features and focused on improving existing systems.

CTOnews.com learned from reports that Apple completed the first "M1" version of iOS / iPadOS 18 and macOS 15 last month, and that Apple has suspended the development of new features in iOS / iPadOS 17.4, which is expected to be released in March next year. Given that the development of the future system has only been suspended for a week, there are no release delays expected next year.
