Sony streaming handset PlayStation Portal opens the box and compares Steam Deck

CTOnews.com November 9 news, YouTube channel Hobby Consolas in the latest video, open the box Sony PlayStation Portal, show the size of the serial handset, and compare it with Valve's Steam Deck.

Sony announced its streaming handset PlayStation Portal in August, which will go on sale on November 15. Spanish channel Hobby Consolas brought out-of-the-box video ahead of time, but the boot effect was not shown in the video because the ban has not yet been lifted.

The video compares PlayStation Portal, which has an 8-inch screen, and Steam Deck, which has a 7-inch screen, but both are roughly the same size and the PlayStation Portal is lighter.

CTOnews.com has previously introduced the details of the PlayStation Portal handset as follows. This handset is a streaming machine, and players need to use the handset to stream PS5 games when they are equipped with a PS5 host.

The handset, which is similar to the DualSense handle, features an 8-inch LCD touch screen that provides 1080p resolution at 60 fps and is expected to go on sale on November 15th.

However, when Sony first announced the PlayStation Portal, the streaming handset was questioned by players, and the controversy focused on "streaming games only" and "higher prices". The American version of the PlayStation Portal sold for $199.9 (CTOnews.com Note: about 1461 yuan) and the Japanese version sold for 29980 yen (currently about 1463 yuan).
