Apple releases tvOS 17.2Beta 2 update and releases new firmware for AirPods Pro 2 headphones

CTOnews.com, Nov. 10-Apple today launched a new firmware version, 6B32, for AirPods Pro 2 headphones (including Lightning and USB-C models), which is higher than the 6A305 firmware launched in October.

Apple has not released a log file for this update, and it is not clear what new features have been added. Apple has added a number of new AirPods Pro 2 features to iOS 17, such as adaptive audio, conversation awareness, and personalized volume, so there may be other improvements to these updates.

Users cannot manually update the AirPods to the new firmware version, and the new firmware version is automatically installed when the AirPods is connected to the iPhone via Bluetooth.

CTOnews.com also noted that Apple also released a preview update for tvOS 17.2 Beta 2 today, two weeks after the previous Beta version. TvOS 17.2 redesigned the Apple TV application, introducing a new sidebar that lists content from different applications and streaming services, including Apple TV+.

The sidebar has dedicated sections for search, immediate viewing, Apple TV+, MLS Season Pass, sports, shops and libraries.

In a separate Channel and applications area, users can access the content of specific streaming services integrated with TV applications, with options such as ABC, CBS, Comedy Central, Hulu, ESPN, Discovery, Peacock, Prime Video, and so on.
