Jeff Pu analyst: Apple aims to launch 14ax 16-inch OLED MacBook Pro in 2026

CTOnews.com, Nov. 10, Haitong International Technology Research analyst Jeff Pu recently issued an investment memo saying that Apple aims to upgrade its MacBook Pro product line in 2026, using OLED panel material.

Apple's MacBook Pro currently uses a mini-LED display, which is officially named Liquid Retina XDR.

CTOnews.com Note: the OLED panel certainly has many advantages, because each pixel can glow on its own, so it can make the black darker, and it also helps to improve the viewing angle and is thinner than the mini-LED, but there are also some problems, the most noteworthy of which is the burning screen problem.

Jeff Pu said in the memo that it has learned from multiple supply chain sources that Apple will launch an 11-inch, 12.9-inch iPad Pro with OLED panels next year and ship 10 million units next year.

Jeff Pu also said Apple is developing an OLED screen for the MacBook Air, but will not launch it until after the OLED MacBook Pro is released.
