Amazon and Meta have reached a new partnership so that users can buy Amazon products directly on Facebook.

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen OC_Formula for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, November 12 (Xinhua)-- according to a report by foreign media TechCrunch on Friday, a new partnership has been reached between Meta and Amazon: users of Facebook and Instagram can now associate their accounts with Amazon accounts, buy goods directly from Amazon on these social platforms, and check out using payment information that has been saved in Amazon.

Amazon spokesman Callie Jernigan confirmed to TechCrunch that the feature will apply to specific products advertised on platforms such as Facebook or Instagram and sold by Amazon stores or independent sellers. Customers can check out directly without leaving Social App, it said.

After the connection between the Meta platform account and the Amazon account is completed, the user's payment information and default shipping address will also be synchronized, thus achieving a similar "seamless" cross-platform purchase experience.

▲ Touyuan Meta also reported that the signing of the agreement between Amazon and Meta coincided with a time when TikTok tried to compete with Amazon. TikTok Shop, TikTok's e-commerce business, was launched in the United States in September. Because TikTok itself has more than 150 million global users and has a significant influence among millennials, Generation Z and even Alpha, TikTok can be seen as a "serious competitor" to Amazon.
