SK Hynix announced today that it officially supplies customers with 16GB of LPDDR 5T, the fastest mobile DRAM product to date, capable of 9.6 Gbps transmission speed.

According to reports, LPDDR (Low Power Double Data Rate) is a DRAM specification for mobile products such as smartphones and tablets, aiming at minimizing power consumption and featuring low voltage operation.

The series is developed in the order of 1-2-3-4-4X-5, for example, LPDDR5X is the seventh generation product, while LPDDR 5T belongs to the enhanced version of the seventh generation LPDDR (5X), and the eighth generation LPDDR6 is still on the way.

According to the International Organization for Semiconductor Standardization (JEDEC), the 16 GB product of LPDDR 5T can operate at a minimum voltage of 1.01~ 1.12 V, and its data processing speed is 77GB per second, which is equivalent to transmitting 15 full HD movies per second.

SK Hynix said the company has recently officially supplied the product to vivo, which also announced that its latest smartphones, the X100 and X100 Pro, will be equipped with SK Hynix's latest memory package.

At the same time, the smartphone will also be equipped with MediaTek flagship platform Tianji 9300. IT Home query found that SK Hynix had completed the performance verification of the new generation of mobile AP with MediaTek as early as August this year.
