Disney is in talks to license more content to Netflix, but not Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

CTOnews.com, Nov. 14, according to Daps Magic, Disney CEO Bob Iger said Disney is considering licensing content to Netflix. In a recent earnings call, Iger revealed that Disney is exploring a partnership with Netflix and may see different Disney works on its streaming service.

CTOnews.com notes that not all Disney films will be available on Netflix, and that some core brands will be restricted, including Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

Mr Iger said Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars were "very important components" of Disney+, its own streaming service.

For us and differentiated enterprises, these are real and obvious competitive advantages. For example, Disney Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars are all doing very well on our platform. I don't think this is about chasing profits, because they are really an important part of our streaming business now and in the future.
