CTOnews.com, Nov. 15 (Xinhua)-- Nothing announced today that it will launch an Android app called Nothing Chat, which allows users to chat with Apple iMessage users.

It is reported that the app is supported by Sunbird, an unofficial iMessage Android client with end-to-end encryption. Sunbird made its debut in the Play store last year and is said to have been downloaded more than 10000 times.

Nothing CEO Carl Pei said the app will support functions such as single chat, group chat, audio and video file sharing, voice, and real-time display of user input, as well as "message response" and "reply" functions in the future.

CTOnews.com also found that Nothing said users need to use their Apple ID to log in to the Nothing Chat app in order to chat with iMessage users.
