It was agreed that the standardization and implementation of film technical standards will contribute to the high-quality development of Chinese films.

The first Film Standardization Committee is composed of 48 members, with Mao Yu as chairman, Zhang Wei, Zhang Hong, Lu Liang, and Lei Zhenyu as vice chairmen, Gong Bo as member and secretary-general, and Huang Zhiren as deputy secretary-general. The State Film Administration is responsible for the day-to-day management and operational guidance of the Film Standards Commission, and the secretariat is undertaken by the Film Science Research Institute.

The Film Standardization Committee, numbered SAC / TC 604, is mainly responsible for the revision of national standards in the film field, corresponding to the work area of the Film Technical Committee of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO / TC 36).
