According to reports, the two sides will try to cooperate in the key links of the whole industry chain, such as the new technology, production, certification and promotion of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF fuel), so as to build an SAF fuel industry chain that meets international standards and has the ability of sustainable development. The two sides will also actively explore multi-dimensional innovative applications in the field of renewable energy. Airbus aims to achieve 100% renewable energy power in all parks in China by 2030.
Xu Gang, Airbus global executive vice president and Airbus China CEO, signed a letter of intent on behalf of Airbus. Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury witnessed the signing of the agreement. CTOnews.com Note: sustainable aviation fuel is one of the main ways to achieve civil aviation emission reduction targets. Compared with conventional fossil fuels, SAF fuels generate an average of 80 per cent less carbon emissions from raw material collection to end-user use. At present, all Airbus aircraft have been certified and can use up to 50 per cent of SAF fuel mixed with aviation fuel. Airbus plans to achieve 100% SAF fuel flight certification for all aircraft products by 2030.
