CTOnews.com November 15 news, Infineon Technology has now released the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2023 and full-year results (as of September 30, 2023). Officials said revenue in fiscal 2023 was 16.309 billion euros, up 15% from a year earlier; profits reached 4.399 billion euros, up 30% from a year earlier; and profit margins were 27%.

Jochen Hanebeck, CEO of Infineon Technology, said that in fiscal year 2023, Infineon set a new record for revenue and profit.

Infineon says its environment is still challenging. On the one hand, the structural growth of semiconductors in renewable energy, electric vehicles (especially in China) and microcontrollers in the automotive industry continues unabated. On the other hand, the demand for consumer goods, communications, computing and Internet of things applications is in a brief downturn. Overall, revenue is expected to continue to grow in fiscal 2024, but the growth rate will slow.
